Growing up in a family business, I learned the value of hard work from a young age. My father had started a shed manufacturing company, and as a young boy, I had jobs ranging from clean up to painting. As I grew up, the scope of tasks broadened until I bought my father out when he retired in 2010. The company grew significantly over the next few years. For much of my adult life, I was also involved in ministry in the church. By 2012 I was fully bi-vocational as a senior pastor and CEO. What followed was a burnout, severe fatigue and a life-altering reset in 2018. Today I still work in the daily operations of a business, serve the church in a variety of ways and am transitioning into a season for writing, speaking, and coaching. I am a certified John Maxwell speaker and coach, write at sjbyler.com and provide executive and team coaching for business, non-profits, and churches.
